Philips Satinelle BRE650/00 Prestige Epilator UK Review

I guess you will already know the name Philips as they are a very well known maker of high quality electrical goods. They are a better known for making men's electric razors and aren't not so well known for epilators like this Satinelle BRE650/00 Prestige wet or dry model.

This Satinelle model Epilator is one of the most expensive models in the Philips range and is also a really good seller. It has all the features that you would expect in a model at around £100

This Epilator has a pretty good rating of 3.7 out of 5 and its at around £100 is priced as you would expect for a top of the range product.

Wet and dry for use in bath or shower is a must really for the best results and this unit is great in the shower. What Buyers Say About the Philips Satinelle Epilator

There are a high number of buyer reviews for this product and as always opinions are widely divided. They tell us that many users absolutely loved this product and say that it works brilliantly. You have to have patience for epilating and its not something that you are an expert in straightaway. I have read reviews saying that they don't work but that's rubbish, This is an excellent unit.

A few buyers gave a poor review and the only genuine complaint I have found is that some people have had a bit of trouble with battery life though the unit comes with a full warranty so I don't see that as a big issue.

There are always one or two people who are never happy but its plain to see that this product has a good overall rating with a very low level of poor reviews. It seems it works really well and the extra shaver head is really handy.

Almost 70% of buyers have rated it 4 or 5 out of 5 and this is pretty good though I have to say we have seen much higher ratings for other models at this price point so that's a bit disappointing.

Tips for first time epilator users

The right time for epilation is in the evening. If you go to bed with a few bumps or irritations they will be gone by the morning. You should prepare by taking a warm showing an all over exfoliation. This helps to relax the skin and reduce ingrowing hairs.

The Braun Silk Epil SkinSpa exfoliating brush is an excellent product and it gets 4x better results than a manual peeling.

Hold your epilator loosely and naturally a 90 degree angle to your legs and move the epilator going against the direction of hair growth. Not much pressure is required, just touch the epilator lightly on the skin. Braun Silk Epil’s cooling glove and massaging rollers will minimise any discomfort and once you get the hang of it, epilation becomes virtually painless.

The number one thing to remember is always moisturise after epilation and never before. This will give the best results and get set for soft, silky skin in the morning.

If you are totally averse to pain and would consider trying something new, why not check out our Braun Silk-Expert IPL BD5009 UK Review which will introduce you to IPL ( intense pulsed light) hair removal.
