We have rated and reviewed the top 10 Philips hair clippers for you. This should make it a lot easier to you when you come to making a purchase. Philips are a very well known brand that produce a wide range of good quality clippers. They may not be the top of the range when you consider some of the big names but they are certainly of a good quality for a reasonable price
Top Rated Philips Hair Clippers
Please note we have used average prices and average ratings which were correct at the time of publishing. These are however subject to change, so always check both before buying.
No 1 Choice - Philips HC9450/13 Series 9000 Hair Clipper
Although these clippers are not the number one in the actual ratings, I believe they are by far the best in the Philips range. At around £65 - £75 to buy they get a 4.2 out of 5 rating from actually users.
They give the best cut, have the best blades, have the best battery and are one of the best units we have ever reviewed. I have no hesitation in saying that they are very well worth the high price tag.
If you want a quality product then this is for you.
No 2 Choice - Philips Diy QC5570/13 Hair Clipper
Hot on its heels comes the QC5570 rotating head clipper Super all over body groomer. It gets 4.5 out of starts in the ratings and comes in at around £35.
These clippers are designed with a rotating head and the idea of this is that it makes it a lot easier to cut your own hair by getting you a better angle of cut for those awkward areas.
Buyers really liked this clipper and at £35 it is very reasonably priced for the great features that you get with it.
No 3 Choice - Philips Series 3000 4-in-1 waterproof Hair Clipper
A close 3rd and very close in the customer rankings in the list is the 3000 4 in 1 Hair Clipper. This unit gets 4.2 out of 5 in the ratings and comes in at around £18.
These clippers are cordless and come get very impressive ratings for a meagre £18. They are mores suited to beard and body trimming but they will do a full hair cut with ease though most buyers seem to use them for intricate work
At this price they are a great all round starter clipper and should be considered very seriously as a cheaper unit that will do everything you need.
No 4 Choice - Philips QC5530 Diy Hair Clipper with Rotating Heads
This great clipper is another DIY, rotating head unit though its a lot more expensive than our number 2 on the list. At around £65 it is quite expensive but it still gets 4.2 out of 5 in the ratings
Also, although it gets great reviews you really have to consider what other clippers you would be able to get for this type of money
In my opinion, although its really handy for cutting your own hair, there are other clippers on this list at the same price or cheaper that are much better value.
No 5 Choice - Philips Series 5000 8 in 1 Waterproof Mens Grooming Kit
The Philips 5000 8 in one is a really great quality, mid price range clipper kit rates at 4.1 out of 5 in the reviews and sells at around £40. Half way down the list is maybe not so fair for this product.
This is a really extensive kit for £40. You get attachments for beard, ears, nose, body and head as well as for close shaping and intricate work
As kits go this is probably one of the most comprehensive ones we have reviewed. It has absolutely everything you need and at the price its good enough quality for years of use. Its very tempting to buy cheap kits that do everything but usually they are poor quailty
You are better spending a bit extra and getting a proper quality kit like this one
No 6 Choice - Philips Series 5000 Hair Clipper HC5450/83
This is about as traditional a clipper as you are likely to see for sale, It comes in at around £39 and gets 4.1 in the ratings
I really liked the design and functionality of this clippers. Its totally plain Jane but it does exactly what it says on the tin.
It will do great cuts and will last the test of time, there is just nothing exciting about it. Its just a good clipper at a reasonable price
No 7 Choice - Philips QT4090/32 Pro Trimmer with Vacuum
Last but not least comes this very expensive, nearly concept, vacuum clipper. It gets a 3.9 out of 5 rating and is an eye watering £169 to buy.
This is actually a really good clipper and the price tag comes because it has a vacuum feature that sucks up hair as you are cutting it.
The vacuum action is average at best and I don't think its worth the money
I have to say that there are no bad clippers listed here at all. The full range is excellent and virtually all these products are getting reviews at over 80% satisfaction and these are the opinions of actually buyers
You just need to decide which product suits your needs the best and what price you want to pay. I expect that its unlikely you will be disappointed with any purchase from this list. At least not for their quality of build and functionality. Good luck with any purchase you make and I hope this review helped give you some idea of what you should be looking for if you are thinking of buyer a clipper for use at home.
