No 1 Choice - Remington HC5035 Colour Cut Hair Clipper
These Remington taper clippers come out top of the pile for value and ratings At around £12 to buy they get a 4.7 out of 5 rating from actual users.
They are smooth, easy to use and have different coloured combs so you don't get mixed up in cutting lengths.
We have to recommend these clippers as "best in range."
Although they are a cheap model, you get a complete kit that will do everything you will need. There are much better clippers in the range but at this price you have to think these are the front runner.
They also get higher customer ratings than clippers that are 5 times the price

No 2 Choice - Remington HC4250 Quick Cut Hair Clipper
This quirky looking clipper comes in a very close second in our list. This unit gets 4.6 out of 5 in the ratings and comes in at around £31
These clippers come as a complete kit. They have everything you will need to do cuts of any length and are especially good for beards and stubble.
You get a cut range from 1.5mm to 15mm and they have curved blades for a closer cut
Unbelievably 80% of all buyers give them 10 out 10 in the ratings and this is very unusual. This tells us that they are actually loved by users.

No 3 Choice - Remington HC5018 Apprentice Hair Clippers
This great value clipper is another complete kit which has everything you are ever likely to need and again they are extremely cheap , coming in around £10
Although its really well priced it still manages to get 4.1 out of 5 in the ratings. Thousands of these have been sold and customers seem to find them great value as well as having the quality you would expect from the Remington brand.
This build quality is backed up with a 3 year warranty so you can be sure they are well built.
No 4 Choice - Remington HC366 Stylist Hair Clipper Set
The Remington HC366 Clipper is a good quality, mid to low price range, corded clipper that rates at 4.1 out of 5 in the reviews and sells at around £22. Half way down the list is maybe not so fair for this product.
There are not much better value kits out there as you get everything apart from the kitchen sink in the box. It also has a separate, fine detail trimmer, which is extremely handy.
Users were very pleased with how smooth and quite it is so it is a great option for using on kids. This is probably down to these clippers coming with high quality ceramic blades
No 5 Choice - Remington HC5880 Clipper
This is a good clipper and one of my personal favourites. It gets 4.3 out of starts in the ratings and comes in at around £60.
They are billed as indestructible and although that may be a bit of a stretch, they do come in a tough polycarbonate case and have top quality Japanese blades.
You may expect this sort of quality at £60 but we have seen plenty of clippers that don't have this high build quality for the same or higher prices.
I would say the only reason it falls down in the ratings is the price but I think its well worth the money for this superb quality clipper.

No 6 Choice - Remington HC5700 Precision Cut Hair Clipper
At around £25, this is pretty average cordless clipper with pretty average ratings at a pretty average price. They get 3.9 out of 5 in the ratings so they are obviously good enough quality but there is nothing special about them.
They have an adjustable slide setting to set the cut length which is quite unique but we found half the users loved it and half hated it.
We are maybe a bit harsh on these clippers, they work well and are reasonably priced but there are probably better for the money.
No 7 Choice - Remington PG350 Creative All-in-1
Last but not least is another cheapish cordless clipper kit. They get 3.9 out of 5 in the ratings so they are liked well enough by users and come in at £19.
You just get a full cutting kit as well as a nice stand that actually charges the battery. It also has detailing trimming attachments that will do ear and nose
If you want to dip your toe in a bit of home hairdressing then these are a cheap starting point and have all the accessories you might ever need.

I have a Remington clipper and have mislaid (lost) the number 5 cutter! Can I get this anywhere?
Hi, you can buy direct from Remington http://www.remingtonproducts.com/parts-and-accessories/mens/clipper-and-trimmer-parts.aspx although it looks like ebay is the cheapest option !
