Braun is a very well known brand that pretty much always produces high quality goods. They are well known for men's electric razors, and not so much epilators, but they are actually the leading manufacturer of this type of unit.Â
I would say this Series 558 is near the top of the range, without being the most expensive model and its a really big seller. If you are going to pull your own hair out from the roots I believe you should be buying the best quality Epilator you can afford as these top range models are very close to being pain free.
This is a cordless model that comes as a full kit and is designed for every area of hair on your body. It can be used on sensitive areas and has the very handy additional of a separate mini epilator that's specifically designed to be used on your face. We found this to be very handy indeed.
It can go down to hair as short as 0.5mm and this is 4 times shorter than you can do by waxing so you don't have to wait till your hair gets to 2mm before you can remove it and you should expect the treatment to last up to 4 weeks.

This Epilator has a very good rating of 4.4 out of 5 which is extremely good and its priced at around £95 which I believe that is pretty reasonable. That only 0.1 in the rankings below the number one rated unit, and that's £30 more expensive.
​Braun units use sonic exfoliation technology which provides 3000 micro-vibrations per minute to exfoliate your skin. They separate facial epilator does 200 plucking motions per second so you would imagine that would be just a touch quicker than using tweezers! Tips for first time Epilator users
The right time for epilation is in the evening. If you go to bed with a few bumps or irritations they will be gone by the morning. You should prepare by taking a warm showing an all over exfoliation. This helps to relax the skin and reduce ingrowing hairs.

Hold your epilator loosely and naturally a 90 degree angle to your legs and move the epilator going against the direction of hair growth. Not much pressure is required, just touch the epilator lightly on the skin. Braun Silk Epil’s cooling glove and massaging rollers will minimise any discomfort and once you get the hang of it, epilation becomes virtually painless.
The number one thing to remember is always moisturise after epilation and never before. This will give the best results and get set for soft, silky skin in the morning.
