Remington HC5700 Precision Cut Hair Clipper UK Review

Remington is a great and respected manufacturer of hair clippers who have producing top quality products for over 75 years. They push themselves to be at the cutting edge of technology and innovation. They produce a range of top quality clippers but they also make some cheaper, entry level models. 

​At around £25 we wouldn't call these clipper exactly cheap but they are still at the high end of the entry level clipper price. We find that they are average or slightly above average in everything. they get 3.9 in the ratings, they are a fairly good seller and they are neither cheap nor expensive for what you get.

This clipper is fairly cheap but is the quality you would expect from a name like Remington. Don't let the low to medium price put you off as its actually a really good starter clipper . For value for money, its pretty good as you get a full range of cuts that are very accurate.

As you know the blades on clippers come in a variety of materials ranging from stainless steel right up to titanium and Japanese steel and this clipper comes with stainless steel blades which is exactly what you would expect at this price level.

You should expect to get around 40 minutes from a full charge though it is quite a long charge time at 14-16 hours, though it can be used on the cord.

What Buyers Say About the Precision Cut Clippers

These clippers are a reasonably good seller in the corded trimmer market. The unique SlideSelect Adjustable Comb lets you select any length you want, so you actually get 23 settings (0.5-44 mm). Users seem to like this flexibility and it lets you a really accurate cut.

With over 4 out of 10 users rating this clipper 5 out of 5 and a further 29% rating them 4 out of 4, we know that almost 70% of buyers have rated these clippers extremely highly. That still leaves 3 in 10 not really liking them and we found that these people found the controls a bit fiddly and would have preferred a digital control.

Straightaway we found that nearly 7 out of 10 buyers rated this as well above average product.

If we consider all the ratings and reviews, we have to think that this clipper is something of a good buy for the price. 3.9 of of 5 in the rating is pretty reasonable and we found that most people really liked it. Again I have to say that's its an average clipper for an average price but it works well and isn't expensive.

If you are looking for a plain Jane clipper that will do a good job for you then look no further. The wide cut range sets this slightly apart from most clippers and would be the main reason you would buy this instead of any other comparably priced clipper.
